How to Use Appalachian Black Salt

Black salt is traditionally used to create energetic boundaries and absorb unwanted energy.

Ways to use:

• Sprinkle a small line across doorways and windowsills for protection

• Add to spell jars for banishing or warding

• Place a pinch in the corners of a room to absorb negativity

• Use around candles during protection workings

• Sprinkle along property lines to strengthen spiritual boundaries

• Add to ritual baths (use a small amount + strain if needed)

⚠️ Disposal Tip (After Use)

After heavy banishing or protection work, black salt is believed to absorb unwanted energy. Because this blend contains salt, please do not bury it in the ground, as salt can damage soil and plant life.

Instead, dispose of used black salt in one of these ways:

• Toss it into the trash outside your home (sealed in a bag if desired)

• Sprinkle it into running water (only a small amount at a time)

• Dispose of it at a crossroads or far from your home (onto pavement/gravel, not soil)

• Flush a small amount away with intention (if that aligns with your practice)

Many practitioners prefer to dispose of it away from the home, symbolically removing the negativity with it.
