Wild crafted by yours truly, cottonwood buds contain one of my most favorite scents on this planet! Every year, late winter/early spring, I go and visit the largest, most majestic, cottonwood tree I've ever seen. Over winter she drops branches with resin filled buds at the very tips of those fallen branches. I harvest them from the ground, under her giant canopy while thanking her for providing us with such wonderful healing medicine.
This year I chose to infuse those resin rich buds slowly in jojoba to draw out the natural aromatics and plant compounds. Cottonwood buds are traditionally valued for their salicylates, flavonoids, and soothing resins, which have long been used in herbal practice to promote pain relief and comfort in tired, overworked areas of the body. The result is a silky, lightly scented oil ideal for gentle massage, easing general tension, and supporting relaxation in tired muscles.
How to use:
Squeeze a dropper or two full into hand(s) and massage into sore, knotted or tired muscles.
